Beautiful scenes. There is something to be said for capturing the ordinary in an unordinary moment.
I’m on a fixed income and cannot support all whom I’d like to, you being one of them. With that, thank you so much for allowing me to view, and comment. Keep going. I love your work!
Thanks—and thank you for your comment! I believe paywalling content is antithetical to my personal values, so that's not something I will do. I'd rather offer something truly personal, like a signed postcard, than limit my writing or photographs to only people who can pay.
I was so hoping for that happy ending but you’re right and maybe got even better photos than that one. That level of persistence is admirable though, respect!
I really like this series. Of course I typically photograph a totally different type of subject, but I also find myself returning to certain spots, in search of something I felt I could not attain on previous visits. I also come away with new work that sometimes surprises me, as long as I get expectations out of my head and keep my eyes open for the opportunities that are there!
Yes, it’s in the experience! I remind myself of that every time I feel like I’m just going through the motions, or not finding anything that inspires me. I have to pull myself back into the moment of seeing with fresh eyes.
Interesting series. The shot of the white house is fabulous and the long-ago high school me would’ve drooled over that orange Saab you lucked upon. Very enjoyable post!

I'll keep going back—hopefully the unicorn will be waiting for me another day.
Cool. I would have loved to see the one that got away. You describe it so well.... But you made up for it!
I'm going to keep checking back. My son still has two more years of undergrad, so that gives me plenty of opportunities to keep my eyes open!
Amazing photographs with inspirational text to accompany them. Thanks.
Always a joy, thanks John!

The reward is in the revisiting and openness, isn't it?

I love the colours in this post Michael and the story behind it all. Serendipity is a wonderful thing - it brought you some cracking images!
